"I would recommend Damian as a driving instructor to anyone who wants to learn to drive at their own pace and in a way which is best for them.

The best thing about having Damian as a driving instructor is that he is very accommodating and flexible in the way he teaches. Although Damian's rates are very competitive, learning to drive is an expensive experience. Damian recognises this and aims to give you the best lesson in the time that he has with you. During my lessons with him he would often let me choose what I wanted to work on, which gave me a sense of achievement after every drive. I also felt that my lessons were tailored to suit my individual needs as a learner and I appreciated this as it gave my lessons focus. Additionally, Damian is a very relaxed and patient person to drive with. He understood my main driving worries and helped me rationalise them and work through them.

When I applied for my test I didn't think I would pass but Damian assured me I was ready and gave me some great advice. My driving test was similar to the mock test he had done with me, and I passed the test first time after only a few months of driving lessons. Passing my test was a life changing experience for me. Having my own transport has given me a great sense of achievement and independence, has opened up new avenues of work, and has greatly facilitated my social life.

"During my experience of learning to drive I had several instructors and learning one simple method was hard for me. It took me 10 months to pass my test but I did so with the help of Damian. He helped me settle into one routine and gave me more confidence on the road, reassuring me that I wasn't the terrible driver I thought I was and he gave me full support when I had to go it alone and take my test. Because I already had the basics of driving when Damian became my instructor driving lessons were much easier and Damian's friendly character made them more enjoyable. The key thing that I needed to improve upon were manoeuvres as having several different instructors with several different methods made them very confusing. Damian explained and planned out a routine of checks and turns I had to make during the manoeuvres which helped me remember them and perform them on my own. I grew more and more confident at them over time and didn't worry about them at all in my test. Thankfully I passed my test first time and have gone on to be a self-assured and safe driver. Damian was a very good driving instructor. Encouraging and friendly and I would definitely recommend him to other prospective pupils. "
